We Are In A Transition

Believe it or not, Feasts of Tabernacles is coming. Much of the church world has no Idea what Tabernacles is and what great and awesome things that God has ordained to happen in this time. While the entire Body of Christ is referred to as priests, it will only be the purified priests that will be the carriers of His Glory. God’s glory will be the central most apparent force in this time of Tabernacles.

God will only use a remnant of purified priests to carry His glory just like the select priests that carried the ark of the covenant across Jordan under Joshua’s command.
Even when David was trying to retrieve the ark of the covenant and bring it back to its rightful place, he made the big mistake in trying to bring it back on a man-made cart. This man centered idea also included that this cart be driven by a strong man(Uzza) and Charismatic man(Ahio). But when the ark began to tilt the strong man reach out to steady the Ark, the Lord took his life. This forced David to park the ark and to go back and read the book. He had to search the scriptures as it were to relearn how the Lord had ordained the ark of the covenant to be carried. David discovered that only the purified priests could carry that ark of God.

The church age has been one continuous replay of Strong men and Charismatic men trying to carry the ark on manmade carts;  preachers, theologians and scholars have managed to subdivide the church into a variety of programs, events, ideas and methods fenced in by man’s doctrine and denomination. Bringing the Ark back, is a type of the glory of Christ coming back to the church. Invariably, it has been man’s tendency to fabricate, facilitate and manufacture an entrance for glory through the realm of carnal thinking. Although God has parked the Ark, carts are still being made and used and there still remains a real ignorance to what the book says. The church needs to put away it’s carts and allow the process of purification to have its effectual work.

When we follow Jesus Christ through the Scriptures, we see him entering the temple. But before his entrance, Jesus with great force and passion, overturned tables forbidding that no merchandise is sold in the house of God. Today the church has been captivated by the prosperity message. Church has become a marketplace of man-made techniques and methods to buy and sell the products pertaining to spiritual and carnal life. Are there not moneychangers in God’s house today? Essentially Jesus cleansed the Temple before he entered.

Scripture says,

“know ye not, that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwell within you?”
1 Corinthians 3:16.

The simple truth is, we who are the temple of God or the tabernacle of God, must subject ourselves to being purified, purged, consecrated or cleansed before the Lord can permanently and fully abide in us. Only the pure in heart shall see God. Only the cleansed in heart shall be Tabernacled by God. Glory can only be housed in a pure and holy place.

Jesus prayed the prayer in

John 17:17 “Sanctify them with thy truth, thy word is truth.” in John 15:3 “Now you are clean through the word…”

Jesus’ ministry intent toward his church is in

Ephesians 5:26 “That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,” verse 27 “That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”

Truth is the water in the word. Truth is the cleansing ability in the word. God’s plan for the soul of man is to flood it with the water of the word. Jesus said, in

John 14:23, “if any man loves me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

There is a clear God given responsibility on behalf of the believer to subject himself to the truth of God’s word. Failure to park the cart and seek the book to learn what God has ordained to facilitate his glory will result in loss of inheritance. There can be no room for presumption. No room for cultural sentimentalism. Only a love for the truth which is often accompanied by the abandonment of what has always been, will the job done.

Tabernacles is the full entrance of the Lord into a purified people. Truth is the path into the glory of God. Truth is the transition into Tabernacles. The Lord is going to administer an abundance of truth upon his church. If God’s people are not into the truth before Tabernacles, they will be during Tabernacles, because God is going to turn up the appetite dial. The thermostat of Hunger and thirst for righteousness will definitely be on an unprecedented scale.

God’s truth with His Glory will be the central focus during the feast of Tabernacles. The days of preparation and restoration are upon the church now. The church would do well to disengage from her love of the world and the things in this world; and set her affections on things above and not beneath on the earth. Scripture tells us that all that is in the world is the lust of the flesh; the lust of the eye and the pride of life. This world as it is now, is strongly a continuous distraction to the people called the church. This world is not our home. Our new birth has its origin from above. Literally, we are from another world. When we look at the church today, it is largely governed by the mind of this world. Multitudes of God’s people seek diligently after the success of this world. The church must remember that Scripture tells us,

study to show yourself approved unto God; a workman need not be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

This such study is not a study of this world. This study is a lifetime, labor-intensive devotion to the word of God which reflects the kingdom of God. God commands us to study his reality, his kingdom.

People often quote Matthew 6:33 which says, “seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

But rarely do the quoters understand what this means. The kingdom of God is about the fullness of Jesus. Jesus is the word of God. To obtain the fullness of the word is to obtain the fullness of Jesus. Being full of Jesus is the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God it is not found in the amount of money you accumulate nor the amount of houses you own neither is it the newest cars you drive. It is not the big church building that is built. It is not seen in the books that you have written. All of those things are wonderful as it pertains to this world. These things are seen but only serves to stimulate praise from men. Yet, Jesus tells us that,

“the Kingdom of God comes not with observation; neither shall they say, look here! Or, look there! For, the behold, the kingdom of God is within you. “Luke 17:20, 21

As you allow the word to be imparted into you, the kingdom of God in you will expand. The more you seek the kingdom of God, that is, to study the word, the more the kingdom of God is enlarged in you. The believers who devote themselves to learning the word; comprehending the word; getting full of the word; are the candidates for the abiding of Christ in them to be glorified.

  • Praise the Lord ,,,Just wanted to let you know I read your article on Tabernacles and agree. The Lord had shown me the stages of our growth,,from passover(salvation)to pentecost(Holy Spirit) to Tabernacles (The full indwelling Christ OF glory)! ONLY when we are willing to go through the wilderness and pay the price,,can we cross the jordan and carry the glory of the Lord!

    • Hello Bother Curry. Thanks for your positive and insightful comments. It’s always wonderful to hear from others that the Lord has shown the more complete picture of his plan for the ages. You are right. Not many people have come out of the wilderness yet. It shows that there is still a regard for ‘self’ and/or ‘flesh’. The wilderness is designed to dissolve that kind of regard and bring the worshiper to a mindset that only regards what God wants.
