“…if you have a gift for showing kindness, do it gladly.”

Romans 12:8  (NLT)

Today’s Focus: Spiritual Life

Spiritual growth occurs in cycles. It involves the cyclical process of receiving God’s Word, applying it to your life, and sharing it with others. This is the foundation of spiritual discipleship. Apostle Paul encouraged growth in the life of his spiritual protégé, Timothy, by instructing him to actively engage in this practice saying, “…the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others” (2Tim. 2:2). Sharing your time to serve as a spiritual mentor to others is not merely a kind gesture, it is an opportunity to help reproduce Godly character in others. Do not allow your gift for encouraging others to lie dormant. Share it so others can grow (Romans 12:7).

-Bishop Dale C. Bronner-

Today’s Thought: Spiritual growth is facilitated by sharing what you know with others.
